Gianna has been a full-time Yoga Practitioner since 2013 and has served as an Inpatient Psychiatric Yoga Therapist for several years. She is a Perinatal Mental Health Trained Provider and currently offers services as a Trauma-Conscious Yoga Practitioner for a nationally-recognized center specializing in eating disorders. In addition to being a Certified Practitioner (TCYM) of The Trauma-Conscious Yoga Institute, Gianna remains an active member in good standing with the International Association of Yoga Therapists, Yoga Alliance, GOYA, and Postpartum Support International and is a recognized Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP). Additionally, she holds the following accreditations and certifications:

AREAS OF SPECIALTY
Gianna specializes in Trauma-Conscious Yoga and mindfulness-based practices for anxiety, depression, PTSD, Eating Disorders, and Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMAD’s), as well as other mental and behavioral health disorders. Yin Yoga for Mental Health is also included among her specialized areas of practice.
Gianna’s professional practice is also inclusive of Yoga for Back Wellness and Pain Management, and she places an additional emphasis on the anatomy, wellness, and functioning of the spine, particularly relative to its relationship to the nervous system.
THE THERAPEUTIC MODALITY OF YOGA
As a Yoga Practitioner, Gianna’s approach to the holistic adjunctive therapy of Trauma-Conscious Yoga is expressly aligned with, and is in accordance to, that which is defined by the International Association of Yoga Therapists as, “the process of empowering individuals to progress toward improved health and well-being through the application of the teachings and practices of Yoga.”
