We are called Global Online Yoga Association (also referred to as “Company,” “we,” “us,” “our”, „Goya“ and „GOYA“). We operate, as well as any other related products and services that refer or link to these legal terms (the “Legal Terms” collectively, the “Services”).
These Legal Terms constitute a legally binding agreement made between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity (“you”), and GOYA, concerning your access to and use of the Services. You agree that by accessing the Services, you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by all of these Legal Terms. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH ALL OF THESE LEGAL TERMS, THEN YOU ARE EXPRESSLY PROHIBITED FROM USING THE SERVICES AND YOU MUST DISCONTINUE USE IMMEDIATELY.
Supplemental terms and conditions or documents that may be posted on the Services from time to time are hereby expressly incorporated herein by reference. We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to make changes or modifications to these Legal Terms at any time and for any reason. We will alert you about any changes by updating the “Last updated” date of these Legal Terms and you waive any right to receive specific notice of each such change. It is your responsibility to periodically review these Legal Terms to stay informed of updates. You will be subject to, and will be deemed to have been made aware of and to have accepted, the changes in any revised Legal Terms by your continued use of the Services after the date such revised Legal Terms are posted.
Welcome to GOYA, the Global Online Yoga Association. GOYA is a dedicated platform aimed at fostering the worldwide yoga community. We act as a nexus for yoga students, teachers, and schools, offering a myriad of services including listings for verified yoga schools and teachers, online courses, events (both online and offline), blogs, and more. Our platform also collaborates with esteemed partners to bring our users exclusive offers and benefits. Through GOYA, we strive to create a holistic and supportive ecosystem for everyone passionate about yoga, from novice learners to experienced practitioners and educators.
By accessing, browsing, or using the services and functionalities offered by GOYA, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please refrain from using our platform and services. It’s important to us that each member of our community understands their rights and responsibilities, so we encourage you to carefully read and understand these Terms before availing of our services.
These Terms constitute a binding agreement between you and GOYA, regardless of whether you are a visitor, registered student, teacher, school, or any other user of our platform. If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of a business or another legal entity, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind such entity and its affiliates to these Terms. If you do not have such authority or if you do not agree with these Terms, you may not use our services.
For the purposes of these Terms of Service, the following definitions apply:
Refers to an individual who registers on the GOYA platform primarily to learn yoga, access online courses, participate in events, or use any other services meant for the general yoga community.
Refers to an individual who possesses verified credentials, expertise, or qualifications in the field of yoga, and who registers on the GOYA platform to teach, share knowledge, offer courses, or conduct events.
Refers to an established institution, entity, or organization that offers structured yoga education or training programs. Schools may register on GOYA to list their courses, events, or other educational opportunities for the community.
Refers to any individual or entity that provides wellness, health, or holistic services related but not limited to yoga, including but not limited to nutrition, meditation, and alternative therapies. Wellness Practitioners might offer their services, courses, or events on the GOYA platform.
Refers to third-party businesses, organizations, or individuals who collaborate with GOYA to offer special deals, discounts, products, or services to GOYA users. Partners are not directly involved in the educational aspect of the platform but provide ancillary benefits to the GOYA community.
Refers to any information, text, graphics, photos, audio, video, and any other forms of data or communication. “Your Content” or “User Content” means content that you submit or transmit to or through the GOYA platform, such as reviews, ratings, comments, feedback, and information that you publicly display or is displayed in your account profile.
To become a part of the GOYA community, please follow these steps:
Step 1: Initiation: Begin by clicking the Register button on our platform. Select your desired role from the options available: Teacher, Student, School, or Wellness Practitioner. It’s crucial that you fill out all required fields accurately.
Step 2: Detailing Experience: Choose an experience level that mirrors your background. At this juncture, you’ll be prompted to upload relevant documents that attest to your qualifications. Rest assured, GOYA acknowledges a variety of global standards, and these will be harmonized with GOYA’s own criteria.
Step 3: Profile Completion: To optimize your presence on our platform, please answer supplementary profile questions. This not only enhances the user experience for those perusing your profile but also fosters meaningful connections within the community.
Step 4: Verification: The GOYA team will meticulously review your uploaded documents for authenticity. Once your qualifications are authenticated, you will receive an official verification badge from GOYA in your chosen role. We thank you for choosing GOYA and becoming a part of our vibrant community.
Teachers, schools, and wellness practitioners are required to log a stipulated minimum of teaching hours, training hours, community service hours, or similar annually to maintain their active user status. These hours can be logged at any time throughout the year, and they serve as a testament to your continuous dedication and commitment to the yoga and wellness community.
Each user’s status will be re-evaluated annually, coinciding with their membership renewal date. Users must log their hours via the platform’s backend. GOYA understands that life’s unpredictabilities might sometimes hinder users from meeting the required minimum hours. In such cases, if a compelling reason is provided and substantiated, GOYA, in its commitment as a social organization, may consider exceptions. The final decision rests with GOYA and will be made keeping the community’s best interests in mind.
GOYA reserves the right to revoke any user’s status at its discretion for reasons including, but not limited to:
(1) Misrepresentation or falsification of qualifications.
(2) Unprofessional or inappropriate conduct on the platform.
(3) Breach of any terms stipulated in the Terms of Service.
(4) Breach of any terms stipulated in the Code of Conduct.
(5) Repeatedly failing to meet the required minimum hours without valid reasons.
Please note: As GOYA has recently been launched, we’re still in the phase of optimizing our platform’s functionality. The feature to log hours in the platform’s backend is forthcoming and is slated for deployment within GOYA’s first operational year. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work diligently to enhance the user experience.
In line with GOYA’s mission to uphold a harmonious, supportive, and professional yoga community, all users are expected to abide by certain behavior standards, as outlined below.
All users should adhere to the highest levels of professionalism, ethics, respect, safety, confidentiality, and responsibility, as further elaborated in the Code of Conduct. Any activity not in line with these principles or any act which might tarnish the image of GOYA is strictly prohibited.
Professionalism: All members of GOYA are expected to uphold the highest degree of professionalism, whether they are teaching, learning, or interacting on the platform.
Ethical Behavior: Members must avoid dishonesty, fraud, or misrepresentation of any kind. Transparency in financial transactions and business dealings is paramount.
Respectful Interactions: Every member, irrespective of background, race, gender, religion, or beliefs, deserves respect, dignity, and fairness. Derogatory remarks, actions, or judgments have no place within GOYA.
Safety: It is the collective responsibility of all members to ensure both physical and emotional safety within the community.
Confidentiality: All members are obligated to respect and maintain the confidentiality of information, unless there’s a legal imperative to disclose.
Continuous Improvement: The yoga journey is one of continual growth. Members should be open to feedback and strive for personal and professional development.
Community Responsibility: As representatives of GOYA, members should embody our values, advocating for inclusivity, and spreading the holistic benefits of yoga.
Compliance with Laws: Adhering to local, state, and national laws, especially concerning professional practices and business operations, is non-negotiable.
By accessing or using our Services, you agree not to:
(1) Submit any data or information for which you don’t possess the legal rights. You are exclusively responsible for ensuring that the data submitted does not infringe on third-party rights or any applicable laws.
(2) Misrepresent outputs from the Services as being human-generated when they’re not.
Systematically retrieve data from our platform to compile a database, collection, or directory without our written consent.
(3) Mislead or defraud GOYA or its users, particularly in attempts to unearth sensitive account details like passwords.
(4) Bypass or undermine the security features of our Services or exploit any features of our platform.
(5) Defame, malign, or otherwise tarnish GOYA or our Services.
(6) Utilize information from our Services to harass, abuse, or harm other users.
(7) Misuse our support services or falsely report abuses or misconduct.
(8) Use our Services in ways inconsistent with applicable laws or regulations.
(9) Perform unauthorized framing of or linking to the Services.
(10) Upload or transmit any malicious material like viruses, or use any tools that impair the uninterrupted use and enjoyment of the Services.
(11) Execute any automated system activities on our platform, such as employing scripts for automated messages or using data mining tools.
(12) Infringe upon proprietary rights by removing copyright notices from any content.
(13) Impersonate any user or person, or attempt to use another user’s account.
(14) Upload any material that acts as passive or active data collection or transmission tools, e.g., “spyware”.
(15) Disrupt or overly burden the Services or the connected networks.
(16) Threaten or harass any GOYA employees or agents involved in providing Services.
(17) Bypass any preventive measures on our platform designed to restrict access.
(18) Reproduce, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of our software, unless laws prohibit these restrictions.
(18) Use the Services in any manner that might be deemed as competing with GOYA or as part of a revenue-generating endeavor without our explicit consent.
In addition to the general expectations and prohibitions:
Yoga Teachers: Must ensure appropriate student-teacher boundaries, continually advance their training, and ensure teachings are within their expertise and competence.
Yoga Schools: Are obligated to offer a conducive learning environment that is safe and respectful, with transparency in curricula and adherence to recognized standards.
Yoga Students: Should approach their journey with an open mindset, respect the guidance of their teachers, and proactively ensure their well-being during practice.
Failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in re-evaluation or termination of your membership. Adherence is essential to ensuring GOYA remains a beacon of integrity, respect, and excellence in the global yoga community.
At GOYA, we offer our members the opportunity to create, share, transmit, and contribute content, which may include, but isn’t limited to, written reflections, video demonstrations, audio recordings, images, comments, suggestions, and other materials (collectively referred to as „Content“). Please note that these Contributions could be visible to other GOYA members and might also be shared on third-party platforms or websites. By submitting any Contributions, you confirm:
While users retain ownership rights over the content they post (e.g., comments, pictures, videos, and reviews), it is imperative that they have the necessary permissions and rights to upload/share it on GOYA. Users are solely responsible for the content they post and the implications of sharing or publishing it.
By posting content, users warrant that they own or have secured the necessary licenses, rights, consents, and permissions to authorize GOYA to use the content in the manner contemplated by the platform and these Terms of Service.
Upon uploading or sharing any content on the GOYA platform:
(1) Users grant GOYA a universal, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, display, and perform the content in connection with the platform and GOYA’s business.
(2) Users understand that once their content is uploaded, it becomes GOYA’s property and can be used by GOYA in any manner deemed fit, including but not limited to marketing campaigns, promotional materials, and collaborations.
(3) This license ends when you delete your content or your account, except for content that has been shared with others and they have not deleted it.
To maintain the integrity and professionalism of the GOYA community, users are prohibited from posting content that:
(1) Is misleading, false, or impersonates any person or entity.
(2) Contains explicit or graphic descriptions or accounts of sexual acts, gratuitous violence, or is obscene, lewd, lascivious, filthy, or pornographic.
(3) Promotes bigotry, racism, hatred, or harm against any individual or group based on their religion, gender, race, ethnicity, age, or disability.
(4) Constitutes unauthorized or unsolicited advertising, such as promotional materials, “junk mail,” or “spam.”
(5) Contains software viruses or any computer codes, files, or programs designed to interrupt, destroy, or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware.
(6) Encourages or promotes any criminal activity or contains information that could lead to the creation of a criminal act.
(7) Infringes upon copyrights, patents, trademarks, or other proprietary rights of any third party.
(8) Violates any local, state, national, or international law or breaches any of your contractual obligations or duties of confidentiality.
Members found posting content that breaches these guidelines may face disciplinary actions, including temporary suspension or permanent termination of their GOYA account.

Our platform serves as a nexus for like-minded individuals to connect, share, and collaborate:
Member Interactions: Users have the ability to connect with other members, follow their activities, and stay updated on their contributions to the community.
Groups: Users can form or join groups based on specific interests, yoga styles, teaching methodologies, or any other thematic concept, providing niche communities within the larger GOYA network.
Activity Feed: The feed allows members to share updates, photos, videos, and more. It’s a dynamic space to engage with the latest from the GOYA community.
Notifications: Our intuitive notification system ensures users are informed about relevant activities, including comments on their posts, new followers, group updates, and more.
Blog: Our regularly updated blog features articles, insights, and stories from seasoned yoga practitioners, industry experts, and community members, serving as a knowledge hub and source of inspiration.
Event Calendar: This calendar showcases upcoming yoga events, workshops, retreats, and other gatherings, ensuring our members never miss out on valuable learning and networking opportunities.
Experience Statuses: Recognizing the dedication and growth of our members, we feature their experience statuses—highlighting trainings undertaken and milestones achieved in their yoga journey.
The synergy between GOYA and its esteemed partners aims to offer an enriched experience to our community members. This section elaborates on the nature of the partnership, terms regarding the discounts, and critical disclaimers concerning third-party offers.
Collaborative Association: GOYA’s partnership with various entities is rooted in mutual respect and the shared goal of enhancing the holistic yoga journey for our community members. However, it’s essential to understand that these partners operate as independent entities, and while we collaborate, each organization retains its autonomy.
Curated Partnerships: Every partnership is carefully curated, ensuring alignment with GOYA’s values, mission, and the best interests of our community.
Exclusive Benefits: Being a GOYA member brings the privilege of accessing exclusive discounts and special offers on yoga-related products and services presented by our partners.
Limitations: These offers are available for a specified duration, subject to availability, and may come with specific terms and conditions set by the partner. Members are advised to check the particulars of each offer.
No Guarantee of Continuity: While GOYA strives to provide consistent benefits, offers may change, and partnerships may evolve. There’s no guarantee of the perpetual continuation of a specific discount or offer.
No Claim Right: Members acknowledge that these offers are privileges and not rights. No member can claim a particular offer as a matter of right, even if they missed or couldn’t avail it for any reason.
External Operations: GOYA does not oversee or control the operations, products, or services provided by third-party partners. While we collaborate with entities we trust, GOYA is not liable for any discrepancies, issues, or disputes arising out of third-party offers.
Due Diligence: Members are encouraged to practice due diligence before availing any offers. This includes understanding the partner’s terms of service, privacy policy, and any other pertinent information.
No Endorsements: A partnership does not imply an endorsement of the partner’s entire suite of products or services. GOYA endorses only those offers and discounts explicitly mentioned on our platform.
Feedback Welcome: While GOYA does not hold responsibility for any issues with third-party offers, we value feedback. If a member encounters any problems or has concerns about a partner’s offer, they’re encouraged to inform GOYA, helping us continually refine our partnerships.
While GOYA makes every effort to partner with reputable entities, we do not hold responsibility for the content, products, or services provided by third-party partners or any other external platforms linked or referred to within our network. GOYA does not endorse, guarantee, or assume any responsibility for any product or service advertised or offered by a third party through the platform or any website featured or linked through our services. Members are encouraged to exercise discretion and due diligence when engaging with third-party content, offers, products, or services.
GOYA ensures a transparent financial process, allowing our members to smoothly avail of our services and contribute to the community. This section outlines the specifics regarding payments, donations, and refund policies.
Memberships: All members are required to make a recurring annual payment for maintaining their membership status. There are no additional or hidden fees.
Upgrades: As members progress in their yoga journey, there might be instances where they wish to upgrade their membership status. For example, students who attain the requisite experience can upgrade to a ‘teacher’ status by paying a one-time upgrade fee.
Special Courses & Events: Specific courses, teacher training programs, or events might necessitate a separate fee, distinct from the annual membership fee.
Payment Due Date: Membership fees are due annually, with the due date corresponding to the initial signup day.
Payment Provider: All payments made on the GOYA platform are securely processed via Stripe.
Affiliate Links: The GOYA platform may contain affiliate links, particularly within our partner programs, courses, events, or other offerings.
Donations during Application: New members have the opportunity to make a donation during their application process.
GOYA Giving Tree Platform: Donations can also be made through the dedicated GOYA Giving Tree platform, supporting our mission of inclusivity.
Purpose of the Foundation: The GOYA Giving Tree Foundation is committed to aiding members facing marginalization due to ethnicity, socioeconomic status, or other equity challenges. Our goal is to dismantle these barriers by offering access to yoga education, mental health resources, food, clean water, and shelter. Your contributions help make yoga more diverse, inclusive, and accessible to all.
No Refund for Membership: Once a membership fee is paid, it’s non-refundable. This policy ensures the quality and maintenance of the services provided.
Cancellation & Renewal: Members can cancel their membership at any time. If a member wishes not to renew their annual membership, they can opt-out via the membership settings page. By opting out, the member ensures that there will be no automatic renewals, and no further charges will apply
Members who decide to cancel their membership will retain access to the platform until the end of their current billing cycle. This ensures that members receive the full value of their paid membership duration, even if they choose not to renew.
Members who have their memberships terminated due to a breach of our Terms of Service, Code of Conduct, or any other established guidelines will not be eligible for a refund, irrespective of when the termination occurs within their billing cycle.
At GOYA, we highly prioritize the privacy and protection of our members’ data. Every measure is taken to ensure the confidentiality and security of the information you entrust us with.
Privacy Policy Overview: Detailed information regarding how we collect, protect, store, and use personal information is meticulously outlined in our Privacy Policy. This policy is designed to inform our members about the various data-related practices we employ and the rights you possess concerning your personal data.
Reference: For a comprehensive understanding of our data-handling practices and your rights related to data protection, we urge all members to refer to the latest version of our Privacy Policy. Regularly reviewing this policy will keep you informed about any changes or updates.
To expedite resolution and control the cost of any dispute, controversy, or claim related to these Legal Terms (each a “Dispute” and collectively, the “Disputes”) brought by either you or us (individually, a “Party” and collectively, the “Parties”), the Parties agree to first attempt to negotiate any Dispute (except those Disputes expressly provided below) informally for at least 30 days before initiating arbitration. Such informal negotiations commence upon written notice from one Party to the other Party.
Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Legal Terms, including any questions regarding its existence, interpretation, validity, breach or termination or the subject matter hereof, shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration administered by the ADR Institute of Canada (ADRIC) in accordance with its Canadian Arbitration Rules. The seat, or place, of arbitration shall be [specific Canadian city, e.g., “Toronto, Ontario”]. The language of the proceedings shall be English (or French, if relevant). The governing law of these Legal Terms shall be the substantive law of [specific province or “Canada”].
The Parties agree that any arbitration shall be limited to the Dispute between the Parties individually. To the full extent permitted by law, (a) no arbitration shall be joined with any other proceeding; (b) there is no right or authority for any Dispute to be arbitrated on a class-action basis or to utilize class action procedures; and (c) there is no right or authority for any Dispute to be brought in a purported representative capacity on behalf of the general public or any other persons.
The Parties agree that the following Disputes are not subject to the above provisions concerning informal negotiations binding arbitration: (a) any Disputes seeking to enforce or protect, or concerning the validity of, any of the intellectual property rights of a Party; (b) any Dispute related to, or arising from, allegations of theft, piracy, invasion of privacy, or unauthorized use; and (c) any claim for injunctive relief. If this provision is found to be illegal or unenforceable, then neither Party will elect to arbitrate any Dispute falling within that portion of this provision found to be illegal or unenforceable and such Dispute shall be decided by a court of competent jurisdiction within the courts listed for jurisdiction above, and the Parties agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of that court.
There may be information on the Terms of Services that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies, or omissions, including descriptions, pricing, availability, and various other information. We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions and to change or update the information on the Services at any time, without prior notice.
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN AS-IS AND AS-AVAILABLE BASIS. YOU AGREE THAT YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES WILL BE AT YOUR SOLE RISK. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, IN CONNECTION WITH THE SERVICES AND YOUR USE THEREOF, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON- INFRINGEMENT. WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES OR REPRESENTATIONS ABOUT THE ACCURACY OR COMPLETENESS OF THE SERVICES’ INFORMATIONS OR THE INFORMATIONS OF ANY WEBSITES OR MOBILE APPLICATIONS LINKED TO THE SERVICES AND WE WILL ASSUME NO LIABILITY OR RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY (1) ERRORS, MISTAKES, OR INACCURACIES OF INFORMATIONS AND MATERIALS,
(2) PERSONAL INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE, OF ANY NATURE WHATSOEVER, RESULTING FROM YOUR ACCESS TO AND USE OF THE SERVICES, (3) ANY UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR USE OF OUR SECURE SERVERS AND/OR ANY AND ALL PERSONAL INFORMATION AND/OR
FINANCIAL INFORMATION STORED THEREIN, (4) ANY INTERRUPTION OR CESSATION OF TRANSMISSION TO OR FROM THE SERVICES, (5) ANY BUGS, VIRUSES, TROJAN HORSES, OR THE LIKE WHICH MAY BE TRANSMITTED TO OR THROUGH THE SERVICES BY ANY THIRD PARTY, AND/OR (6) ANY ERRORS OR OMISSIONS IN ANY CONTENT AND MATERIALS OR FOR ANY LOSS OR DAMAGE OF ANY KIND INCURRED AS A RESULT OF THE USE OF ANY INFORMATIONS POSTED, TRANSMITTED, OR OTHERWISE MADE AVAILABLE VIA THE SERVICES. WE DO NOT WARRANT, ENDORSE, GUARANTEE, OR ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY PRODUCT OR SERVICE ADVERTISED OR OFFERED BY A THIRD PARTY THROUGH THE SERVICES, ANY HYPERLINKED WEBSITE, OR ANY WEBSITE OR MOBILE APPLICATION FEATURED IN ANY BANNER OR OTHER ADVERTISING, AND WE WILL NOT BE A PARTY TO OR IN ANY WAY BE RESPONSIBLE FOR MONITORING ANY TRANSACTION BETWEEN YOU AND ANY THIRD-PARTY PROVIDERS OF PRODUCTS OR SERVICES. AS WITH THE PURCHASE OF A PRODUCT OR SERVICE THROUGH ANY MEDIUM OR IN ANY ENVIRONMENT, YOU SHOULD USE YOUR BEST JUDGMENT AND EXERCISE CAUTION WHERE APPROPRIATE.
IN NO EVENT WILL WE OR OUR DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFIT, LOST REVENUE, LOSS OF DATA, OR OTHER DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. NOTWITHSTANDING ANYTHING TO THE CONTRARY CONTAINED HEREIN, OUR LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CAUSE WHATSOEVER AND REGARDLESS OF THE FORM OF THE ACTION, WILL AT ALL TIMES BE LIMITED TO THE LESSER OF THE AMOUNT PAID, IF ANY, BY YOU TO US OR CERTAIN INTERNATIONAL LAWS DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES. IF THESE LAWS APPLY TO YOU, SOME OR ALL OF THE ABOVE DISCLAIMERS OR LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU, AND YOU MAY HAVE ADDITIONAL RIGHTS.
